Accessible online spaces for art making, curating and leadership

So great that i managed to see Thompson’s exhibition in Holborn in person. I had so wanted to come and chance would have it that i got a lift to London. It’s so imporatnat that we support each other and our artists are already reflecting on each other’s work and making work in response to each other, which is what can happen on a residency, working together so closely towards a shared exhibition.  One of the photos shows a possible scene from inside a bus in Singapore, to see if Thompson might make something that is based on life in the streets moving from a to b in Singapore

What a great week working alongside William, connecting with Maddi at Venture Arts in preparation for 25th September ‘in studio’ session where everyone will be joining together and painting with Tanya and Thompson leading the session. And also meeting Dave Packer to explore William’s final artwork and kaleidoscopic ventures ahead!

It made me feel really proud to celebrate with everyone at the opening of my new exhibition which is taking place at the Bomb Factory in Central London. I talked about my paintings eloquently to a very captive audience . A Group of four teenage boys came to look at my work where I introduced myself as the artist. One of them asked me a question about the influences behind the paintings,  I explained that they started off as me looking how different communities behave within cities. These became initial drawings that I did at home, which are then translated into paintings onto canvas in the studio.

I wanted to show the Sync group artists to inspire them on in their Sync residency. The artwork they create in this residency could hopefully lead them onto bigger and greater things in the future.
