Introduction (in English)
Victoria Bowen is an artist based at Community Art Project, Darlington. With her leadership metaphor of a magnifying glass and her desire for transformation of herself and others in a clear ‘Leadership Vision’, she worked alongside Sync animator, Dave Packer. This film shares her making process and her purpose in a film that will set your heart a-flutter!

빅토리아 보언(Victoria Bowen)은 달링턴의 ‘커뮤니티 아트 프로젝트(Community Art Project)’를 기반으로 활동하고 있는 예술가입니다. 그녀는 싱크(Sync)의 애니메이터 데이브 패커(Dave Packer)와 협업하여 ‘돋보기’라는 리더십 비유와 자신 그리고 타인의 변화를 갈망하는 리더로서의 명확한 비전을 담았습니다. 그녀의 작업 과정과 목적을 보여주는 이 영상은 보는 이의 마음을 설레게 할 것입니다!

As a leader, I’m kind of visualising with my eyes…
like with my Vision.
So I look close up, closer, or very close.
But then, I’m slowly looking back, then forwards.
Well, it’s a delicate operation.
They might even grow like it’s getting until…
it’s getting like they come out at you.
I want people to expand themselves…
imagining what I’m putting on the picture.
See what they imagine as well…
so other people who are seeing this picture…
come out of their shell,
that’s like a door to somewhere.
They’re coming through that door.
A different life.
It could even be Wonderland.

리더로서 저는 눈으로 직접 보듯 마음속으로 그려보곤 합니다…
저만의 ‘비전’ 처럼요.
그래서 가까이, 더 가까이, 아주 가까이 들여다봅니다.
그러다 다시 천천히 뒤를 돌아봤다가, 다시 앞을 봅니다.
그건 아주 섬세한 작업이에요.
그것들은 마치 무언가 계속 자라나는것 같이…
당신을 향해 튀어나올 것만 같은 상태가 될지도 몰라요.
저는 사람들이 제가 그림에 무엇을 그렸는지 상상하면서
스스로를 확장하길 바라요.
그들이 무엇을 상상하는지도 함께 보고 싶어요.
이 그림을 보는 다른 이들이 자신의 껍질을 깨고 나오면 좋겠어요.
마치 어디론가 향하는 문처럼요.
사람들은 그 문을 통해 나오는 거예요.
지금과는 다른 삶으로.
그곳은 어쩌면 ‘원더랜드’일지도 모르겠어요.
