Carlisle Robinson (they/them) is a Deaf Queer Canadian-American comic creator and illustrator based in Tkaronto. A Gallaudet University alumni with an MFA from The Center for Cartoon Studies, I use art to advocate for Deaf and marginalized communities, exploring themes of self-discovery, decolonization, and identity.

My previous work includes projects for Marvel and Disney-Hyperion. My works have been exhibited internationally. I also have worked for several Deaf community organizations and businesses including but not limited to: Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf, Eversa, and Deafverse for National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes. I also advocate for and provide workshops on De’Via, Deaf Arts, Comics, Audism, and 2SLGBTQIA+ issues for all ages.

“The Sync leadership has helped me to connect more deeply with the broader disability community, to gain new perspectives from the amazing Canadian cohort of the Fall 2025, and to be embolden to embark more art focusing on Deaf and Disability.”
