This is a piece of work that means a lot to me

It’s Finally Happened!! is my newest painting. I usually like my newest artwork the most before I move on to the next artwork! It’s Finally Happened!! is based on the fact that I recently got married to John Ronald Leighton! The self-portrait image is taken from my hen do. The painting is also based on one of my favourite artists Frida Kahlo’s portraits, where she also has celebratory flowers in her hair. Rather than hand earrings I am wearing my favourite spoon earrings. 

I didn’t think anybody would marry me after my accident, so this painting celebrates and holds up two fingers to people who might have thought I would never get married!! I am now a married Grace Currie/Leighton Magic Artist!
