My first gelli print. An experimental piece, where I had layered up paint and texture. I used laser prints to pull away layers to reveal colours underneath.

Using gold as a base, I pressed wooden laser cut flowers into the gelli. After setting the impression, I then spread blue paint on top to create a layered effect.

Using a small plastic toys to leave impressions, I pressed a toy eagle's back and wings into the print, to leave a wing and feather texture into the paint. I used pthalo blue paint for this print.

As I created this piece, I accidentally pressed my fingers into the paint, which left a perfect impression of my fingertips. A personal detail which I believe connects myself the artist intimately to my work.

Gentle textures printed into the paint, swirling patterns and clean cut floral impressions create contrast and drama, subtle yet striking. Close to the edge, is also my own fingerprint, which I had done accidentally.

I created this piece with sandy gold and mixed shades of blue paint, I layered the paints and scored fine stripes across the paint using a plastic fork, exposing colours beneath as well as removing the paint entirely. I noticed this technique gave extra depth and texture to the piece.

Using laser cut wooden bees and flowers, I pressed them into the gelli to expose the paint beneath, creating strong contrast between the paint and the patterns.

A unintentional creation, I used a sheet of paper to clean my rollers that I use in gelli printing and ended up liking the results.
