My Leadership Metaphor (Revised)

Posted by Abraham Koh • 3 weeks ago

A slide introduces wings as Abraham’s leadership metaphor. Abraham stands with his arms stretched wide in front of a pair of large illuminated white wings, visually appearing as though the wings belong to him.
A text-based slide explains Abraham’s quiet leadership through the metaphor of wings: “Like bees and butterflies that cannot see their own wings, a quiet leader displays empathy and empowers other team members to fly on their own. Wings lift people up.”
A slide connects wings with collaborative and inclusive leadership, explaining that a single wing cannot fly alone and that two wings must move together in balance. The text relates this to accepting both positive and negative feedback to find the best outcome. Beside the text is a playful photograph of Abraham with his parents, all three appearing to fly with large white wings behind them.
