The Exhibitions I Attended This Year

Posted by Abraham Koh • 4 weeks ago

A slide titled “Some exhibitions I attended this year” highlights the i Light Festival (June 2026) through three nighttime photographs. The first shows a large illuminated installation covered in rippling black-and-white optical patterns with shifting rainbow colours, surrounded by visitors. The second shows two people standing among tall translucent panels illuminated with vertical streaks of vivid red, blue, yellow and purple light. The third shows Abraham inside an immersive installation, standing with his arms outstretched in a mirrored space flooded with bright neon gradients of blue, green, pink and purple.
Three nighttime photographs show large-scale illuminated installations at the i Light Festival. On the left, visitors stand in front of a huge circular structure glowing intensely in red and orange, formed from radiating tubes of light. At the upper right, numerous suspended circular rings glow bright pink and purple, overlapping across an outdoor walkway. At the lower right, several monumental rock-like forms are illuminated in soft blue, purple and pink beneath the night sky, with visitors appearing as dark silhouettes and city buildings rising behind them.
A slide titled “Vincent Van Gogh Experience (June 2026)” shows Abraham smiling for a photograph inside an immersive exhibition. Behind and around him, a Van Gogh landscape is projected across the walls and floor, surrounding visitors with sweeping fields of vivid yellow and green beneath a deep blue sky with white clouds. The large-scale projection and intense colours create the feeling of standing inside the painting.
A collage of four photographs from the Vincent Van Gogh Experience shows an immersive gallery where Van Gogh’s artworks are projected across entire walls and floors. One projection surrounds the room with portraits and colourful paintings, while another transforms the space into a golden rural landscape. A photograph shows Abraham and a companion relaxing on cushions amid the projections. The final image fills the room with a vivid green-and-blue forest, with visitors seated in the centre, creating the feeling of being surrounded by and inside Van Gogh’s paintings.
